Outreach Events
Our team has it's own outreach event system, called Optix Passion Initiatives. We provide our members the resources and the platform for them to pursue oppurtunities they are passionate about in partnership with our team.

Team Optix was proud to attend the California Advocacy and Leadership Conference as part of our efforts to make meaningful change not just in our community, but also across policy in our state. We met with other passionate teams through the SASA conference and learned about state legislature and policy. We later headed to Capitol Hill, where we met with state representatives and advocated for further representation and funding for STEM education and resources here in California. Team Optix looks forward to continuing our statewide efforts, as well as our involvement in the NAC (National Advocacy Conference) in Washington, DC.
SDCL Project Flight X Optix Stations + Showcase

Team Optix raised awareness about STEM for elementary students during this showcase, hoping to influence the next generation. We shared our ideas and taught them about the FIRST process.

Del Norte Aerospace Club
Summer Camp

Del Norte TARC (The Aerospace Rocketry Competition) hosted a 1-week-long summer camp in partnership with Team Optix : teaching younger
students who aspire to participate in the STEM basics of rocketry. They also built model rockets with every student, eventually launching them at a local park.
Mission Beach Cleanup
01/27/2025
Through our participation in the Mission Bay Adopt-a-Beach program, our team conducted a large-scale shoreline cleanup, collecting nearly 80 pounds of trash from the area. This initiative directly improved the health of the local ecosystem and reinforced our commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.
